Children and Adolescent Therapy
Many children have a difficult time on the first day of day care or school. A little bit of anxiety or nerves is normal for this transition and can be expected. Some people, however, experience higher levels of anxiety that can lead to emotional troubles. Therapy can help in these cases where the anxiety or depression exceeds what is to be expected. A therapist can help to manage these feelings and ease the anxiety from separation. A child therapist can also help children feel more at ease and help to develop social skills so they are happier at school or any situation away from their parents.

Family Therapy/Parenting Skills
There are many issues that can arise in a family setting that can affect the family dynamic and cause emotional issues for different members of the family. Children are at the highest risk to be affected by these family issues. Therapy can help the child express their emotions and deal with any difficulties they may have. It also brings the issues to the attention of the parents so they can better deal with the situation and make more time for their child.

Individual Therapy
If you're like most people, you've worked really hard to get to where you are in life. You've been patient, put in your time, and done your work. But chances are, there are still parts of your life that just aren't what you dreamed of. Maybe it's your work, your relationships, your confidence or that thing from when you were younger. Many people feel that their struggles are not that bad, or that they don't really need counseling. They are worried that asking for help means they are weak or that others might think less of them. At Phoenix Therapeutic the focus is not on your difficulty, but on who you are and who you want to become. You are treated as a person, in an open, caring, non-judgmental way. You are respected as a whole person.

I utilize many different therapeutic approaches as each person is an individual. Approaches used most often, talk therapy, walk and talk therapy, Solution focused, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
